Tabla Mediterranean Bistro focuses on adding a modern twist
to authentic Mediterranean specialties from regions such as Spain, France,
northern Africa, and Italy.
The Mediterranean fusion restaurant stemmed from co-founder Adam
Berger’s travels in Italy where he spent years in the kitchen
learning how to create their renowned cuisines, including the art of handcrafting
fresh pasta daily utilizing generation old techniques.
Adam was inspired by how the menus of quaint Tuscan
restaurants rotated frequently, creating dishes that highlighted the freshest
local ingredients of each season.
Tabla’s menu is modeled after this concept, providing not
only classically innovative dishes filled with fresh ingredients, but also a selection
of rotating regional specialties. While
a few favorites stay constant, the seasonally focused menu allows for Tabla and
its guests to continually expand their culinary knowledge and travel through Europe’s
culinary world, without ever leaving Portland.
